On New Year’s Day, a Tesla Cybertruck caught fire and exploded outside of the Trump International Hotel, Las Vegas, killing the suspect. The truck contained firework mortars and camp fuel canisters. The suspect is said to be US Army Master Sgt. Matthew Alan Livelsberger, who used ChatGPT to build and plan the explosion. Clark County/Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Kevin McMahill stated, “I think this is the first incident that I’m aware of on U.S. soil where ChatGPT is utilized to help an individual build a particular device.” Livelsberger’s body was found inside the charred Tesla, which exploded from fireworks that Mr. Livelsberger had purchased on his way to Las Vegas, authorities stated. The county coroner established that Livelsberger died due to a “self-inflicted gunshot to the head,” police state. The charred body was identified by authorities through many different ways, including DNA and tattoos. According to his family, Livelsberger probably undertook this attack due to post-traumatic stress disorder, family issues, and other issues.
