9/11 was one of the most sorrowful and most remembered incidents that has shocked the whole world. 9/11 incident killed a lot of people and most of the people who were killed ended as brave soldiers who risked their lives for the others. This incident has left some remains of pieces of the building and a lot of mysteries. When the local people heard what had happened, they had all rushed in their boats to help the people in Manhattan to evacuate them before all the smoke that had polluted the air.
On a usual day in one of the twin towers, suddenly a plane crashed into the building and people just thought it might be an accident. So, they came to help the people and an hour later another plane crashed and this time the citizens knew that this was done intentionally, and they all panicked. All the police, firetruck, ambulance and the other rescue team rushed to help the people to get down from the building. All the people who were on the high levels risked their lives and jumped down the building that caused most of them to die because the people below could not catch them. Lots of people watched the fire spread and that blocked the way for people to escape from the building.
After several hours, the whole building fell and collapsed to the ground leaving a big air pollution that caused the sky to look hazy. The people went to the edge near the water and some of them shouted for help and some even jumped into the water. When the captains on the boat heard the scream for help, they risked their lives and came immediately, and they took as many people as possible they could fit. When the captains realized they could not take everyone on their boat quickly, they decided to mark their location and announced in the radio for people who have boats to come and help carry the people back to safety. To their surprises, after 15 minutes lots of boats came rushing in different shapes and sizes. The captains all came, and they took the people back to safety. This happened to be the biggest rescue by sea. When the smoke was over, the investigator came to search for people who were missing and then after along research, they concluded that the missing people were dead.
There were four flights that were sabotaged by the Islam terrorists. While two of them were crashed into the twin towers, one of them was crashed into the pentagon. The plane that was crashed into the pentagon did not do much damage. The fourth plane Flight 93 was about to crash into the white house. When the people in the plane realized the situation, they all joined hands and fought the terrorists and one of them drove the plane and crashed it into 2 the ground risking their lives for the welfare of the country. More than 3,000 people died in this whole incident/attack and the entire world was shaken by this incident.
When the United States came to know that Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind of this whole plan, they decided to do justice for the people who died and launched a search operation. They sent a group of soldiers to track and trap him in the Afghanistan cave. This search lasted about 9 to 10 years, but they were not able to find Bin Laden. One fine day, the secret agents got a clue of the location. They found out that it was a house with no internet and no radio signals. After long research and investigation, they realized that it is quite possible that that is where the mastermind could be living. The president Mr. Barrack Obama decided to send his men in a special helicopter to kill the people living in that house along with the mastermind and his son. They reached the destination and killed all the men and left the women and the children alone and took other pieces of evidence and traces in the house. The president and the citizens were excited that justice was served properly.
The real reason why the president did this operation was not because America wanted their revenge, but America wanted to tell the whole world that it will not allow anybody to come and attack them once again. Also, the president and the citizens wanted to do this for the brave people who sacrificed their lives for this country. To honor the people who died, the American government constructed the Freedom Tower in the same place where the twin towers was once there. When you go to the Freedom Tower, you will find all the peoples name engraved in the square stone to pay respect. There are at least 3,000 names carved on the square stone.
My heart was filled with sorrow and pain when I read and watched the incident in the museum. There is an important saying that I saw in the museum by Virgil that goes, “NO DAY SHALL ERASE YOU FROM THE MEMORY OF TIME”. This museum is a must if you go to New York for people to always remember the sacrifices of these people and learn more about the 9/11 incident. After the learning you will understand that life is more precious than anything and you don’t have second chances.
