Yosemite National Park was a great place to go to for a field trip, and there are many who
enjoyed it and many who didn’t. Here were some of the highs and the lows. For starters, most of
the activities included hiking or some other way of exercising, but the experience was very fun
because they added activities along the way such as group games. The day started off at around
six to six thirty, where we got up and brushed our teeth and did the rest of our morning routine,
like taking a shower or getting ready for breakfast. In about thirty minutes to an hour, we
walked to the lodge, where we had our breakfast. After breakfast, we had a few minutes of free
time before going on our hike, which was the activity of the day.
The hike normally takes about six hours, and we were given a snack and lunch, which the
students would serve themselves. After the hike, we would end up back to our cabin for around
one to two hours to have some free time, after which we would transition into dinner. Dinner
would be the last event before our night program, and then we would go to sleep. In the end,
many students believed that Yosemite was a very interesting experience. Some remarks were
that the food was very mediocre and that the hikes were really fun. One good thing was that
many students ended up with the groups they chose, and at the end of the trip, mostly everyone
was happy.
